Description
?The originality of Technicians of the Finite results from its probing, dialectical analysis of a vast and far-ranging body of secondary and, especially, primary materials. It is a fascinating contribution to the sociology of knowledge and to the history of a central and stubborn problem in the American psychiatric community. Historians and psychiatrists alike should be grateful to Professor Fullinwider for an impressive achievement.?-Merle Curti, Professor Emeritus of History, University of Wisconsin
